To comply with safety requirements, our Cocoon Swaddle Bags have a firm fit around the neck, shoulder and chest area to prevent your little one from slipping inside. You should be able to put 2 fingers inside the neck opening for the correct fit. Please do not size up to the next size until your child meets the weight requirement, for safety reasons.

I first purchased another brand and was not satisfied with the quality so I decided to go with Ergopouch for better quality
The 0-3 month swaddle was too small for my newborn despite her being only 4.75kg at time of purchase
We then started using the 3-6 month swaddle and unfortunately now on 2 occassions her arms came out of the swaddle at night (buttons undid themselves)

You have raised some points regarding the cocoon sizing, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. For the cocoon to work as intended, it should fit quite firmly around the chest and shoulder area, with the arms tucked in snugly to mimic the swaddling effect. When the fit is correct, babies should not be able to wriggle their arms out.

My 10 week old is sometimes an arms in and out baby. Depending on his mood. This is great to work with and you can even do one of each. The fabric is beautiful and soft and there’s plenty of length and room.
